| The purpose of this website is for
you to use this tool, to gather homework, check your grades, find out what
homework we are doing this week, find missing assignment papers, and
explore the internet about what we are learning this year. Parents,
your child is responsible for their work, however you are their safety net.
You can see what we are doing in the classroom all year around.
Instead of asking your child what did you do in school today, print out
the lessons we are doing this week in the homework section and ask them,
"how was that paper on the cephalopods today."
This year you will be learning about Life Science which is biology and how animals, plants and other species interact with their environment. Social Studies brings you back to the old days from the beginning of time...through ancient civilizations and all the way up to about 140 AD. (We never do get to the present!) We have some great Literature studies such as "A Wrinkle in Time", "The Bronze Bow", "Castle in the Attic", and discuss short stories and poems. Instead of spelling this year, we are using a vocabulary book to extend your use of words and understanding of them.
